Jon Gosselin's attorney announced that he plans to file papers for primary custody today. He claims Kate is an "absentee mom" because she's in Los Angeles participating in 'Dancing with the Stars.'

Meanwhile, although Kate's official public response is that she will not respond except to say she "will do everything necessary to provide for my kids," someone has told Radar Online that Jon is an "absentee dad."

"He didn't see the kids for weeks and the only reason was that he wanted to hang out with his girlfriend," a source familiar with the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "He's claiming that Kate is an absentee mother when the truth is she's a working mother. What he's saying is an insult to every mother who has to work to take care of her family."

I'm guessing this source is from Kate's camp.

And someone (perhaps someone else, perhaps not, I don't know) is claiming that Jon is "going broke" since he hasn't held a steady job since the end of 'Jon and Kate Plus 8.'

This is going to get ugly. These poor kids.
