28 Apr 2010It's official! Summit Entertainment has announced that Bill Condon will direct 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'. Just in case you've forgotten this is the last book of the series. The one that needs to be done right. The one that needs to end as strongly as it began. No pressure Bill. No pressure.
"Bringing Stephenie Meyer's BREAKING DAWN to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity,” said Erik Feig, President of Production and Acquisitions, for Summit Entertainment.
Added author Stephenie Meyer, “I'm so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he's going to be a great fit, and I'm excited to see what he does with the material.”
He's got some traction. After all, Mr. Condon is responsible for 'Dream Girls' and 'Kinsey'. I'd say we better get ready for some entertainment!
I loved this book, but not many 'Twilight' fans would agree. Most were utterly disappointed with the ending of the story. I felt it was rich and filled with a variety of characters I still want to learn more about. Stephanie Meyers definitely gave herself a dozen different ways to expand the franchise.
Are you looking forward to 'Breaking Dawn'? Or are you over the 'Twilight' craze?
