This guy just doesn't know what to do with himself. First he's fighting with Kate Gosselin about getting the kids off the show, then he's trying to secure himself a part. Next he's filing for custody and then he drops the case. Who can keep up? Is it just about staying relevant / newsworthy?

Does he decide to do these drastic things only when things get too quiet? Does Jon like the madness? The noise? The attention? I can't think of another reason why he insists on flipping like a coin whenever the wind changes.

TMZ is reporting that the reality dad plans to drop his case against Kate for custody and child support. Apparently, he never really thought his ex-wife was an "absentee mom".

Jon never really believed Kate was an “absentee mom,� according to TMZ sources, while she was on Dancing With the Stars.

The exes are trying to formulate a new, current custody/child support agreement.

I guess the news is good - no matter how it came about. The children just need peace and quiet for a while. The lawyers need to all take a break and the parents need to get back on the same page. Perhaps this is the beginning of a simpler life for the Gosselins.
