I LOVE watching Tim Gunn on ‘Project Runway’ (especially the “make it work” mantra he used tell contestants). Now, though, he’s offering criticism to non-contestants, like the Kardashian sisters. Here’s how he described their style:

“[While their styles] may have some sexiness to it, I find it’s largely vulgar.

Gunn went on to say that their look “has a cheapness and a tawdriness [to it].”

I’m surprised Tim is calling out people like this; normally he seems so nice! Apparently this all started when the Kardashians unveiled their line for Bebe.

“I just think the Kardashians have an absence of taste and I don’t think that that should be perpetuated,” he said. “I’m sorry I’m sounding like an old farty, snob, but it bothers me.”

OUCH! Obviously this criticism is harsh, but do you think Tim has a point? Have you seen anything from their Bebe line, and if so, what did you think?
