Madonna shared with Interview magazine what it has been like to co-write and direct the upcoming film “W.E.”. She chats about the writing process and the realization that she’d need a big budget for the costumes.

She says that making a movie is MUCH more stressful than making music:

Every other day, it’s like, ‘What am I doing? This is insane. I could be off gardening right now. This is too stressful. Who do I think I am? Why am I putting myself through all of this punishment?’ That’s what it feels like-for me, anyway.”

She is co-writing the movie with Alek Keshishian and has to balance her writing with her family obligations.

“I tend to write during the day so I can see my children at night. But if my kids aren’t with me and I have a chunk of time when I’m a single woman living in my house for a miraculous week, I will get to write at different hours,”

She shares a little about the movie’s plot:

“Everyone thinks I’m making [a movie] that’s supposed to be a musical about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. I don’t know why that got in the newspapers. The Duke and Duchess of Windsor are in the movie, but it’s not going to be about them. It’s really about this other woman’s journey, and the duchess is kind of her spiritual guide,” she explained. “It’s set mostly in pre-World War II England-like, 1936 to 1937 –and then in New York in 1998. It goes back and forth in time. I use the Sotheby’s auction in 1998 of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s estate as a device to flash backward from.”

Madonna says that she realized their budget was in trouble when she grasped just how “high end” the costumes would need to be:

“I didn’t realize it when we were writing the script, but once I started casting and planning and working with my production designer, I went, ‘Oh, f***. I wrote a script about a bunch of rich people. That’s going to be great for the budget,” she told the mag. “The duchess has, like, 80 costume changes. She was dressed by Balenciaga and Christian Dior and Vionnet and Schiaparelli… It’ll be a combination of real vintage pieces, others we’ll get remade based on patterns that have been dragged out of the archives, and then new stuff we’ll make. Next time, I’m writing a movie about one person in one place who has no wardrobe.”

I’m sure if Madonna gets some input on the wardrobe, it’ll be really well-done. I’m pretty anxious to see how this turns out – it’s scheduled to start shooting this summer. I wonder if ex-husband, director Guy Ritchie, gave her any tips or advice?

Actor David Boreanaz (Bones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has come forward to publicly admit he had an affair on his wife of eight years, Jaime Bergman.

“Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities,” the actor admits to PEOPLE. “I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible.”

The woman that he cheated with was attempting to blackmail him for money:

“I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with,” he says. “She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.”

The actor says he and his wife are working to mend the marriage:

“We’re working on our marriage,” he says. “We’re working on repairing what has been damaged so badly.”

What do you think of his coming forward to share this? Does it make it less harmful than other celebrity cheaters who deny it until the mistresses start coming forward? Do you think he could’ve avoided discussing it at all?

Today was the third annual George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic and also the launch of the Ann and George Lopez Foundation. The comedian took a few minutes to gush to People about Sandra Bullock’s adoption.

“I am a proud uncle and [my wife] Ann is a proud aunt,” Lopez told PEOPLE

“Sandra is a loving, giving person, and Louis could not be in a better home and she could not be happier.”

It’s great that Sandra has strong support system of friends and family around her.

In other Gwyneth related news, the actress recently denied claims that she feuded with Scarlett Johansson on the set of ‘Iron Man 2,’ saying,

I adore Scarlett. I loved having her on set. She is really funny. She swears a lot. She has a dirty sense of humor. She loves to cook. She’s like a girl after my own heart.”

Do you think the apparent feud between Gwyneth and Scarlett is just a rumor?

It looks like Jessica Biel has gotten into hiking after hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro (the tallest mountain in Africa) a few months ago. Now she’s set her sights on hiking Mt. Everest.

“I’m thinking about trekking to Everest base camp,” Biel, 28, told PEOPLE Saturday at the 13th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women in New York’s Times Square. “That’s kind of the next goal.”

Although she has that as a goal, Jessica hasn’t maintained her pre-hike workout.

“I’m not keeping up the same type of workout because it was a little different than what I normally do,” Biel says.

But she was able to do the 5K walk, which was in support of breast and ovarian cancer research. Jessica said she was inspired by the memory of her grandmother, who is a cancer survivor.

Well, all I can say is: more power to her! The THOUGHT of hiking a mountain makes me feel exhausted- LOL!

Alica Keys won’t record a song if she can’t sing it live. The ‘Doesn’t Mean Anything’ singer won’t rely on a studio to help her voice and is prepared to scrap tracks if she can’t get the vocal right.

“I never use Auto-Tune, or anything like that. I won’t have that software in my life. I don’t others using it. But if I can’t sing on my own, then I’m not going to record it.”

This girl has integrity.

Alicia is always writing new songs and even uses her phone to make notes when she feels creative. She added to Q magazine:

“I made some notes on my cell phone a couple of days ago. I’ve got an old idea on there called ‘Holy Love’. But the new one is just a title – ‘The Day After The Night Before’. It’s going to be about love and romance, but it could be about someone waking up and deciding they don’t like the curtains in their bedroom.”

Alicia certainly likes to keep us guessing. So, her newest single will be about love or curtain shopping. LOL! I’m ready.

Christina Aguilera chatted with Access Hollywood about embracing the fact that she’ll be turning 30 this year and also says she hates to work out.

On gaining wisdom:

“I’m proud of my age, Because with it comes wisdom, and we’re smarter. And, you know what? I feel sexier than I have ever been in my whole life.”

She’s happy to be in shape, but she’s like the rest of us in dreading actually having to work out:

“You know, its just about making the time for and I hate working out,” she said. “No one hates working out more than me. I hate it with a passion, but I do it because in the end, it makes you feel better. In the moment, it sucks… and to get motivated to get on a treadmill and make time for it in your day. There’s just not enough hours in the day as it is, and as a mother it’s really hard, but just to squeeze in some cardio, some weights.”

While she likes to be in shape, you won’t catch her getting too skinny:

“There’s certain assets I like to have,” she said. “I don’t like getting too thin because I lose a little bit of booby.”

I think many of us can relate to dreading the workouts, right? I’m really looking forward to hearing the rest of Christina’s album – she’s one of the few singers who really can belt out a song without a ton of “studio help”.

Kate Gosselin’s Dancing With the Stars partner, Tony Dovolani, took some time to talk to TV Guide about working with Kate and the many misconceptions about their relationship.

TV Guide asked him about his comment that he had to motivate Kate every day and said it was exhausting. Tony clarifies that:

It’s because of everything she has to read about herself every single day. Dancing was supposed to be a positive experience for her, and it seems like everybody put a bull’s-eye on her and started shooting. That demoralizes everybody no matter who you are. How am I supposed to motivate her when she looks at me and goes, “Every media outlet hates me.” I have to give her props. She’s an incredible mom and she’s an example for single moms out there. She handles herself to the best of her ability because she’s constantly under fire by everybody

The truth be told, the hardest part of teaching her was keeping her motivated because of all these things that everyone was saying about her. She was demoralized. Every 15 minutes, somebody would send her a new article that was written about her in a bad way. You have no choice but to read it because you want to know what is being said about you so you can protect yourself when questions come up in interviews.

Tony shared that they are planning a play date with his daughter and Kate’s children and the two keep in touch almost every day. He also said he is looking forward to dancing with her at the show’s finale.

It’ll just be fun to have her around again because she was a lot of fun to be around. I just want to see her smile because when she smiles, she lights up a room.

David Letterman made a rare appearance on Live! With Regis and Kelly Friday where he addressed the $2 million extortion plot stemming from his affairs with female members of his staff. He claims he is now focused on repairing his relationship with wife Regina Lasko. Letterman said,

Because you think an explosion has taken place and you’re looking at the shards and you say, ‘Well, can we put this back together?’ And by God, maybe you can put it back together. And maybe it won’t be the same, but maybe it will be different, and maybe it can even be better in a different way.”

Do you think David and Regina will be able to move on from such a scandal?

George Clooney just got some scary news: unexploded WWII-era bombs were found at the bottom of Lake Como, less than a mile from his villa. Among the weapons found by a fisherman were hand grenades, mortars and aircraft bombs! The Italian navy has been dispatched to the scene and will take the items to a cave to detonate them.

Keeping with his usual wit, George had this to say:

“This is not the first bomb I’ve experienced.”

I love that he’s always so laid back and humorous about everything. I would be freaked out if I were living right next to something like that!
