Michael Douglas opened up to Matt Lauer about his son, Cameron, being sentenced to five years in prison and the difficult decision the judge had to make. Michael is very realistic and doesn’t make excuses for his son’s actions.

He had this to say:

“Look, my son was a drug dealer and he’s been trying to kill himself for a while and I can’t condone his behavior,” Douglas said on the morning show. “So I think the court recognized his drug addiction as well as the crime he committed … and the best part of it is he will be able to start his life afresh.”

Despite his addictions and drug dealing, Michael supports Cameron and believes in him:

“The fact is, with all the mistakes and the disease that Cameron has, he’s a great young man and I wouldn’t be supporting him if I didn’t feel that way. So yes, I think the judge was put in a difficult position.”

I think it’s commendable that Michael doesn’t make excuses like so many parents tend to do. Hopefully his son can make a full recovery and get his life back on track during and after his prison term is up. I cannot even imagine watching your child being put in prison!

I don’t know if I am just in the “right” sort of mood, but I laughed LOUDLY at a few things in this trailer. I love Mark Wahlberg as the one of the “uncool” guys. This one is definitely on my radar. It releases in August.

Demi Moore and David Duchovny are starring together in the new movie “The Joneses”, which opens up next week.

A seemingly perfect family moves into a suburban neighborhood, but when it comes to the truth as to why they’re living there, they don’t exactly come clean with their neighbors.

This is a movie that has truly flown under the radar! We saw a few shots last September when Demi and Ashton attended the Canadian premiere for it, but that’s it! Demi was on Leno last night to chat about it, but I haven’t seen any advertising beyond that. I wonder if it was some financial constraints? Or just circumstances beyond their control?

It looks hilarious and I’m assuming it’s not a remake of anything – it looks so fresh and different.

The new trailer for ‘Dinner For Schmucks’ starring Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and Zach Galifinakis just arrived.

Tim (Rudd) is a rising executive who “succeeds” in finding the perfect guest, IRS employee Barry (Carell), for his boss’s monthly event, a so-called “dinner for idiots,” which offers certain advantages to the exec who shows up with the biggest buffoon.

The movie is due out in July. What’d you think? Is it something you’ll see in the theater or wait for dvd?

I’m SUPER excited about Milla Jovovich doing damage in the new ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’ film. And… is that ‘Tool’ I hear in the trailer? LOVE that lead singer.

The full-length trailer for “The A-Team” was just released today. The movie is based on the television show from the 80’s and stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, Patrick Wilson and Sharlto Copley.

This is one remake that fans seem to be excited about rather than disgruntled. What’s your take on it? I know a lot of you are SICK of Hollywood “rebooting” so many of these classic shows/movies.
